RIVERSIDE — Two men have been arrested in connection with the city’s first homicide in five years, and two more suspects remain at large, Riverside Police Chief Mark Reiss said Thursday.

Richard “Chicago” Western, 21, from Clayton was arrested Thursday morning by SOFAST without incident and confessed to Riverside police that he shot Geoffrey Andrews, 20, on Amston Drive on June 15. SOFAST is the Southern Ohio Fugitive Apprehension Strike Team.

A 17-year-old male from Riverside also was arrested June 18. He admitted to participating in the crime and identified his co-defendants, Reiss said.

Police still are looking for two additional suspects in the crime: James Dunson, 21, and Aaron Baker, 22. Dunson, address unknown, is black and goes by the name Blood. Baker, 4464 Foxton Court, is white and goes by Ghost.

Reiss believes both suspects are still in the area. If anyone has information on their whereabouts, Reiss said, they should call the Riverside Police Department at (937) 233-6296.

Western and the juvenile each face five charges, including murder and aggravated robbery. Western is being held in the Montgomery County Jail.

Reiss said that Andrews was a known marijuana dealer and that the suspects knew him. Andrews was with two other friends when the he was shot.

Three shots were fired; one hit Andrews. He was pronounced dead at Miami Valley Hospital.

Reiss said the motive is still unclear at this time and the investigation is continuing. SOFAST includes members of the U.S. marshals and multiple law enforcement agencies.
