Celina man arrested on drug charges

By News Staff

CELINA —

A Celina man was arrested after Celina police and the Grand Lake Drug Task Force found a stolen cash box, drug paraphernalia and 500 grams of marijuana in his home Thursday.

An outside law enforcement agency initially received a tip that there was stolen property inside the home of Chad W. Ackley, 32, of the 800 block of Greenbriar Court.

Ackley admitted to police that the cash box, which had been stolen from a Versailles business, was in his home. Police obtained a search warrant from Celina Municipal Court and found the stolen property, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Officers estimated the value of the drug at $2,500.

Ackley is in the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility on preliminary charges of receiving stolen property.

The drug task force will continue its investigation into the drugs found in the residence.
