Zachary Avery Jr.

DAYTON —

A man arrested Tuesday evening on drug trafficking and other charges told police that he’s not a “big time” drug dealer.

Zachary Avery Jr., 26, was arrested pending charges of trafficking in drugs, possession of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia when narcotics officers served a search warrant at 1423 Kipling Drive at about 6 p.m. Tuesday.

They found Avery Jr. in the house along with his father and his two-year-old son, according to a police report.

Officers found scales and a small amount of heroin in the house along with cash and a handgun.

According to the report, Avery Jr. admitted to selling heroin, but said he’s not a big time dealer. He said he sells a gram of heroin at a time, sometimes mixed with baking powder and has only made about $400.
