Police question teen about pot-laced brownies

TROTWOOD —

Suspicious brownies that sickened two students at Trotwood Madison High School last month tested positive for marijuana, and police are questioning a teenager.

Trotwood police continue to investigate the Dec. 10 incident at the school, where two students reported being sick after eating brownies that had been brought to the school.

The Miami Valley Crime Laboratory tested the remaining baked goods and determined one of the ingredients to be marijuana.

Others may be involved, but a teenager who’s not a student at the school is being questioned, said Trotwood Sgt. Joseph McCrary.

McCrary said the student could be charged as an adult.

“His cooperation is gonna play an important part (in terms of) what charges should be brought forth,” he said.
