DAYTON —

Police chased down two men and used a Taser to subdue one of them during a chase on Westwood Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Raymond Shoecraft and Angelo Champion are facing multiple charges after police said they ran from officers.

According to a Dayton Police report, officers were responding to a disorderly complaint in the 100 block of Westwood when they spotted Champion talking with Shoecraft, who was sitting in a vehicle. As officers approached, both men took off running.

Police were able to get both men in custody, but used a Taser to detain Champion.

Inside the car that Shoecraft was sitting in, police found a stolen semi-automatic handgun, according to the report.

Shoecraft, 31, is facing possible charges of receiving stolen property, obstructing official business, carrying a concealed weapon and having weapons under disability.

Champion, 30, is facing possible charges of resisting arrest and obstructing official business.
