Fog advisory expires for Miami Valley

MIAMI VALLEY —

A Dense Fog Advisory that was issued by the National Weather Service for the Miami Valley until 8 a.m. has expired.

Mercer, Darke, Preble, Montgomery, Miami, Shelby, Auglaize, Logan, Champaign, Clark and Greene and Wayne counties were under the advisory.

Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Rich Wirdzek said some light showers and drizzle Monday morning will keep roads wet, aiding in additional driving issues for the commute.

“By late morning, the fog will diminish, but a few leftover light showers can’t be ruled out,” he said. “Mostly cloudy skies will dominate the afternoon for a better commute home.”

Highs today will be in the 60s, coming close to the record of 71 degrees, he said. A strong cold front will bring rain and a potential thunderstorm tomorrow, with chillier air for the rest of the week, he said.

On Tuesday, the high will be in the mid-50s, and on Wednesday, the mid-40s.
