Kettering hit and run victim still in hospital

KETTERING —

Police are looking for a white, sport-utility vehicle which left the scene after hitting a pedestrian at Bigger Road and Whipp Road Saturday evening.

Officers said the 47-year-old woman was in the crosswalk when she was hit. She suffered a serious head injury and was taken to a local hospital. 

Kettering’s Accident Investigation Team was called in to assist.

Police said the vehicle, either an SUV or crossover, was last seen on Whipp Road. They believed it might be a Toyota.

As of 11:30 a.m. Monday, the victim was still in the hospital.

Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call Kettering police at 296-2555.
