MAD RIVER TWP., Clark County —

A two-vehicle accident Monday afternoon on Interstate 70 west sent one of the vehicles into the median, rolling several times before coming to a stop in the grass.

The driver of that small car, a young man who told News Center 7 he was on his way back to school at Indiana University in Bloomington, suffered minor injuries and did not require a trip to a hospital, Ohio Highway Patrol Sgt. Bo Schmutz said.

The accident occurred at about 3:30 p.m. when the car and a pickup truck that was pulling a flatbed trailer came together about a half-mile west of U.S. 68 and sent the car off the left side of the interstate, Schmutz said.

Schmutz said no one has been cited because the cause of the crash remains under investigation. Drugs and alcohol are not suspected as factors, he said.

The road was expected to be cleared by about 5 p.m.
