DAYTON —

A female driver had to be extricated from a car into the woods and transported to an area hospital after a two car crash at the intersection of Turner Road and Philadelphia Drive Saturday morning.

Harrison Township fire crews with assistance from Dayton and other municipalities responded to a report of the crash just after 9:00am. It took fifteen minutes to remove the top of the car into the woods so the female driver could be removed. The other car sustained heavy front end damage according to dispatch. Three medics were requested to the scene.

No word on the condition of the female driver, the driver of the other car or any passengers.

We have not been informed of any citations regarding the crash.

The reason for the incident is under investigation.
