Masked man robs gas station at gunpoint

DAYTON —

A man wearing a white mask and socks on his hands held a gun to a customer’s head and demanded money from the clerk at a Shell gas station this morning.

According to a Dayton Police incident report, the robbery happened at about 1 a.m. Monday morning at 3406 E. Third St.

A witness said saw the masked man standing outside of the store and went in to warn the clerk. The masked man then walked inside and put a gun to the head of a customer standing at the counter.

He told the clerk he would shoot the customer if he didn’t hand over money from the cash register. The clerk gave the suspect $200.

Surveillance cameras captured the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160-170 pounds. At the time of the robbery he was wearing a black and white horizontal striped hooded sweatshirt, white mask, black and white baseball cap, black T-shirt, dark jeans with a red patch on the back and black and white tennis shoes.
