Election Clark County

About: Lagos, 28, is an associate at Lagos & Lagos P.L.L., Attorneys and Counselors at Law. The firm specializes in purchasing and management of residential real estate. Lagos is a 2003 graduate of Shawnee High School and graduated from Wake Forest University in 2006 with a B.A. in Economics. He earned a law degree at Capital University in Columbus and studied tax law at Boston University. Lagos said he has not yet decided whether to run for election in 2014.
About: Walters is a 2000 graduate of Tecumseh High School and has held jobs in manufacturing and distribution. He majored in Network Administration at Clark State Community College, and is currently studying social work. Walters has been involved with the Clark County Democratic Party where he served on the Central and Executive Committees, helping canvass and organize for local candidates. He lives in Springfield and is the father of a 5-year-old son.
About: Koehler is vice president and part owner of K.K. Tool Co. in downtown Springfield. His family-run business celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2012. He is a graduate of Wright State University with a degree in Computer Science. He is a father of five and is married to Kathrin Koehler.
About: Herier is a lifelong Springfield resident and a partner in the law firm Geyer, Herier and Frizzell. He has earned a a bachelor’s degree in political science from Wright State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Dayton. Herier ran against unsuccessfully McGregor for the 79th Ohio House District in the last bid for the seat after the previous Democratic candidate, David Farrell, withdrew from the race shortly before the election.
About: McGregor currently serves in Ohio’s 79th House seat. He was first appointed to the Ohio General Assembly in 2005 and continues to serve the Ohio legislature, where he is now in his fifth term. McGregor’s term expires in December, 2014, and he is not eligible to run again because of term limits. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Urbana University and is the executive vice president of Pentaflex Inc.
