TROTWOOD — Police have been searching nearly a month for a missing woman and Thursday asked members of her family to join them at the police station as they sought media help in finding her.

The sister, brother and sister-in-law of Julie Earley, 50, said they don’t know what has happened to Earley. Her husband Cregg Earley previously told police that she has been missing since May 21. He reported her missing to police on May 30. Cregg Earley was not at the police station on Thursday.

Trotwood detective Sgt. Joe McCrary said police are seeking the public’s help in finding Julie Earley, who is listed as an endangered missing person because she has Type I diabetes, frozen shoulders and vision problems.

She also has two special needs sons from a previous marriage, one who recently turned 21 and she missed his birthday, which was unusual.

Police interviewed Cregg Earley last week. Police said Cregg Earley told them he did not report his missing wife immediately since she often left the house following arguments and stayed with relatives.

Police said they also searched the Earley home on Molane Drive, but found no clues to Earley’s disappearance. Cregg Earley is not listed as a suspect in his wife’s disappearance.

Julie Earley’s sister, Kim Willey, brother, Ken Rank, and sister-in-law, Jill Rank all said Thursday that they had only heard of her disappearance two weeks ago, and from one of Julie Earley’s friends. They did not have a good relationship with Julie Earley’s husband of seven years, they said.

“Our relationship has for a long time been very strained,” Willey said. “Things have been a little strained recently. I haven’t talked to her in about two months. We’re gong through one of those strange periods.

“Our family has been extremely concerned for her health and well-being for several years. Julie, if by some miracle you’re out there and you’re alive and well, call me, call the police. I’ll come get you no matter where you are.”
