NORTHRIDGE —
A home in the process of being rehabbed sustained approximately $25,000.00 in damage from a fire Saturday afternoon.
Dayton fire crews responded to a report of a structure fire at 4850 Hamlin Drive, just off of Wildrose Drive and Ottello Ave. Preliminary reports state the single story wood dwelling caught fire where a stove was connected to the fireplace. The fire then spread through the wall and up to the attic.
The fire was quickly brought under control. The unidentified owner arrived but would not speak with us regarding the loss.
The scene is under investigation.
