Ten Top Women Nominations Now Being Accepted

One of the most meaningful ways to honor an outstanding woman in the Miami Valley is to nominate her for the Ten Top Women award.

Nominations are now being accepted for one of the Miami Valley’s most coveted honors.

The10 women selected for the award will be feted at a community luncheon slated for Tuesday, Dec. 3, at Sinclair Community College’s Ponitz Center. The award honors women who are role models for others and who have made unique or valuable contributions to their communities or professions.

“The Dayton Daily News and Cox Media Group Ohio have supported Ten Top Women since it began more than a half century ago,” said Julia Wallace, market vice president of Cox Media Group Ohio. “The women being recognized this year are each taking a well-deserved place on the exclusive honor roll of Dayton’s top women. We are proud and honored to have our name associated with the women of the Miami Valley who give so much to our community and continue to make it a better place to live.”

Anyone in the community can recommend an individual. Through the years, nominations have come from colleagues, friends, spouses and children.

Nominations will be reviewed by a selection committee, which includes a past Ten Top Woman Honoree. They will be accepted through Friday, July 26, and can be submitted on line at www.daytondailynews.com/tentop or in person at 1611 S. Main St. in Dayton. Nomination forms are available in the lobby of the Cox Media Group Ohio building.
