Man shot at bar following argument

JEFFERSON TWP. —

One man was shot, and another is facing charges Monday morning.

The shooting happened at 2:52 a.m. at Napoleon’s Palace, 4150 Germantown Pike.

Montgomery County deputies called for a “Signal 99”, an “officer needs assistance” call. That was later cancelled.

Deputies on patrol outside the bar heard gunshots inside. They approached the entrance as a man was leaving with a gun in his hand.

Deputies ordered him to drop the gun, and he complied. He was handcuffed and taken into custody. They added that the shooting followed an argument.

They found a man suffering from a gunshot wound inside the bar. His injuries were considered non-life-threatening. Deputies added that the victim identified the man they arrested as the shooter.

The victim was taken to Miami Valley Hospital.

The suspect is held in the Montgomery County Jail on felonious assault charges.
