ENGLEWOOD —

Police are looking for a man suspected of robbing an Englewood bank Thursday morning.

Just after 9 a.m., a man entered the Chase Bank in the 600 block of Taywood Road and handed the teller a note demanding money, according to police. The suspect received money from the teller and fled on foot.

According to a witness at a neighboring business, the suspect ran to a nearby Ponderosa and got into a white Chevrolet Lumina driven by a black male.

Cameras indicated the vehicle then went southbound on Taywood Road, eastbound on Wenger Road, southbound on Main Street and onto westbound Interstate 70.

The witness said the vehicle had Indiana license plates, according to police.

No one inside the bank was injured, and the suspect did not display a weapon, police said.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s, wearing a black snowsuit and a grey hooded sweatshirt. The suspect’s shoes had lime green on the soles.
