Juvenile suspect bitten, arrested after foot chase

JEFFERSON TOWNSHIP —

A juvenile boy and adult woman are in custody this afternoon after a foot chase with Montgomery County Sheriff’s deputies.

The pursuit, which included the use of K-9 search dogs, ended around 12:30 a.m. this morning in a bank parking lot at the corner of Germantown Street and Gettysburg Avenue.

The juvenile was bitten by one of the dogs when he was captured.

22-year-old Breana Blackford was booked in to the Montgomery County Jail pending charges of attempted theft, possession of criminal tools and obstruction of official business.

According to deputies, Blackford and the juvenile male, tried to steal aluminum rims off a Chevy Suburban parked in front of a couple’s home on Shank Road in Jefferson Township.

The car owner’s dog began barking which woke up the family and sent the two suspects running. The family called 9-1-1 and deputies where able to spot the duo and began a foot chase.

News Center 7’s Mike Campbell spoke with the owner of the car today. The man, who did not want to be identified, said on Easter Sunday, all four of his wheels and tires where stolen.

That time, their dog began barking, but they ignored the sound—today they listened.
