Riverside home destroyed in early morning blaze

RIVERSIDE —

A blaze destroyed a home in Riverside early Thursday morning.

As fire crews arrived to the home at 514 Lorella Avenue around 12:30 a.m., family members were seen running from the house as flames and smoke were shooting from the roof.

Firefighters were soon called out of the home as the flames spread. Firefighters also faced problems outside the house as the snow, ice and cold caused dangerous conditions, according to reports.

Extra medics were called in to make sure firefighters stayed warm. Family members were able to stay warm in a house across the street, authorities said.

No one was injured.

Fire investigators believe an electrical problem may be to blame for the fire.
