Tuesday: Special military section in Dayton Daily News

Dear Readers,

Though the War on Terror isn’t over, the 10-year hunt for Osama bin Laden is.

Since Sunday’s announcement of bin Laden’s death, Dayton Daily News employees have worked non-stop to bring you stories and information about the military’s heroic raid and what it means for the war on terror.

In Tuesday’s Dayton Daily News, we’ll include a special section dedicated to the men and women who’ve risked their lives in Afghanistan and Iraq. “Serving the Cause of Justice” is a 6-page section honoring local military heroes, current enlisted men and women, and those involved in the raid on bin Laden. You can only find this tribute in the Dayton Daily News.

In addition, we’re combing through hundreds of stories and photos to find the most relevant, important accounts of the raid, the world’s reaction, and what’s next.

Our reporters are talking to local families who lost loved ones in military operations since 9/11, and sitting down with area people who knew victims in the 9/11 attacks. They’re talking to young people and experts about how 9/11 and this moment in history shaped a generation of youth.

Our team includes our media partners at WHIO-TV and WHIO radio, and together we’re working to provide you with the most in-depth, important news available.

Tomorrow’s newspaper is an historic edition that you won’t want to miss.

Thank you for your continued loyalty. It’s a privilege to serve this community through our work at the Dayton Daily News.
