Moraine-based Winsupply Inc., one of the largest wholesale distributors in the nation, has opened two new companies on the East Coast.

The companies — located in New Jersey and Maine — are the seventh and eighth companies added to the Winsupply portfolio this year.

The new location in Absecon, N.J, serves contractors in the plumbing, hydronics and new construction industries in Ocean, Atlantic and Cape May counties of the state.

“The investment opportunity and equity partnership with Winsupply is something that isn’t offered by other major wholesalers in our industry,” said Roland Gordon, president of Winsupply.

The Rockland, Maine, location serves plumbing, heating, air conditioning and ventilation (HVAC), and hydronics contractors in the mid-coastal region between Portland and Bangor, where Winsupply has existing locations in each of the latter cities, according to a news release.

The president of Winsupply of Rockland, Sam Irish, has been with Winsupply for more than 10 years, and helped open the Bangor Winsupply location in 2014.

“Sam has a strong track record with opening and establishing a successful new business in a new location, experience that will serve him and his team well in Rockland,” Gordon said. “Sam and his team have 35-plus years combined experience in the hydronics, HVAC and plumbing industries, extending our distribution footprint along the important northeast coast.”
