WSU to interview 6 for provost

Wright State University is set to interview two internal and four external candidates for provost as the school seeks a permanent replacement for Steven Angle, who left the position to work with the Ohio Board of Regents on the Complete College Ohio initiative but remains a senior vice president at WSU.

On-campus interviews for the candidates will begin today through Feb. 21.

The candidates are:

  • Thomas Sudkamp, currently interim provost at WSU. Public forum 1 to 2:30 p.m. today in the Rathskeller of the Student Union.

Mohammad Karim, vice president for research at Old Dominion University. Public forum 1 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 7 in the Rathskeller of the Student Union.

  • S. Narayanan, dean of the WSU College of Engineering and Computer Science and executive director of the Wright State Research Institute. Public forum 3 to 4:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in Room 144 of the Russ Engineering Center.

  • Christopher McCord, dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Northern Illinois University. Public forum 2 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 11 in the Rathskeller of the Student Union.
  • Dwayne Smith, senior vice provost at the University of South Florida. Public forum 2 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 14 in Room 163 of the Student Union.
  • Daniel Wubah, deputy provost and vice president and dean for undergraduate education at Virginia Tech. Public forum 1 to 2:30 p.m. Feb. 20 in Room Apollo B of the Student Union.
