EAST CLEVELAND, Ohio — Officials say a bus caught fire in northeast Ohio as it carried a high school marching band to a Martin Luther King Jr. event in Pennsylvania.
Band director Donshon Wilson of Shaw High School in East Cleveland tells WEWS-TV (http://bit.ly/ylfP8O ) a tire blew out Monday and caught fire. He says students were evacuated and a call was made to 911.
TheMidTown Express bus was headed to Erie, Pa. No one was injured.
The Ohio Department of Transportation says eastbound lanes of the highway were closed for more than two hours in Lake County.
