FINDLAY, Ohio — An Ohio representative campaigning to stay in Congress is offering his support for locked-out tire company workers in northwestern Ohio.

The Courier newspaper (http://bit.ly/yNa8c5 ) reports Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich (koo-SIHN'-ich) was scheduled to meet Saturday with Cooper Tire workers at a union hall in Findlay.

Workers at the plant in Findlay have been locked out since late November. Union members had voted down a tentative three-year contract.

Kucinich says he appreciates that they're taking a stand.

The former Cleveland mayor is running against Rep. Marcy Kaptur of Toledo in the primary because their districts were lumped together. Political newcomer Graham Veysey (VEE'-zee) also is in the race.
