DAYTON, Ohio — An Ohio man accused of putting an infant and a toddler in a trash bin has been indicted on two counts of attempted murder.
A grand jury in Dayton returned the indictment Wednesday against 39-year-old Tommie Johnson Jr. Authorities say he put an 8-month-old boy and 2-year-old girl in a trash bin after a domestic dispute with the children's mother.
Authorities say two electricians pulled the children out of a trash bin July 27. Police say the children had been in the bin for about 13 hours and were hungry, dirty and thirsty.
Johnson also was indicted on three counts of domestic violence and one count of tampering with evidence. Court records do not list an attorney.
