ANTENNAE RAISED: Satellite companies filed suit against the state, saying the tax hadn't been applied to their chief competitors in the cable industry and violated principles of interstate commerce law. The state argued cable operators pay a franchise fee that satellite companies don't, and that there is no legal requirement that they treat satellite and cable the same.
CLEARING UP THE FUZZ: The Ohio Supreme Court agreed Wednesday to hear the satellite industry's appeal.
