Railroad cancels work expected to close road near Great Miami River

A project by the CSX Railroad Co. that was expected to close part of Farmersville-West Carrollton Road this week has been cancelled.

The road, which handles about 6,000 vehicles a day, was set to close at Upper River Road, just west of the Great Miami River. But the project has been postponed due to weather and is not expected to begin this year, according to the city of West Carrollton.
