Rimblert is scheduled to appear in municipal court on Monday.

UPDATE @ 8:51 p.m.:

Harold Rimblert III was arrested Friday night by Miami Twp. police on a charge of voyeurism, less than 48 hours after he was arrested for the 15th time on the same charge.

Sgt. Rex Thompson said Rimblert was spotted by an employee in the restaurant of a McDonald’s at Ohio 741 and Kingsridge Drive.

He was lying on the floor, peering underneath a stall where another employee was using the facilities.

Rimblert fled but officers were already in the area and were able to arrest him in the parking lot of a Hardee’s restaurant across the street.

The call from employees to police occurred at 6:25 p.m. Rimblert was in custody by 6:31 p.m.

He has been taken to the Montgomery County Jail and is expected to have a bond hearing on Sunday. An arraignment by video is expected to occur Monday.

Thompson said people need to be aware of their surroundings and familiar with Remblert because of his repeated arrests on voyeurism charges.

He had been in the McDonald’s for hours before this latest incident, Thompson said.

Police will recommend a high bond at Sunday’s hearing, the sergeant said.

FIRST REPORT

A registered sex offender arrested more than a dozen times for voyeurism is being accused of exhibiting the same behavior, this time for spying on women using a Washington Twp. restroom.

Harold Rimblert III, 31, was ordered into court by the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office on charges of voyeurism and trespassing after returning to a third-floor bathroom in the 7800 block of Washington Village Drive for a second time Thursday.

According to the sheriff’s office, the Dayton resident went into the bathroom there for the first time on Oct. 7 and peered under an occupied stall. Employees from the business followed Rimblert after he fled, but deputies were unable to locate him. When employees spotted him at the bathroom again Thursday, security officers followed him and deputies arrested him, sheriff’s Capt. Jeff Papanek said Friday.

Rimblert has been arrested 14 other times on voyeurism charges stemming from incidents in Dayton, Trotwood, Moraine and Englewood. His record includes seven convictions on the charge and he is a registered sex offender in Montgomery County.

Despite his lengthy history with police, it was quick action by employees that led to Rimblert’s arrest, Papanek said.

“It’s a very good thing because you don’t know what it’s going to lead to. A lot of the times the voyeur who does that, a lot of the times it can lead to a sexual assault, so it’s very important to get those people off the street,” he said.

Rimblert will be arraigned in Kettering Municipal Court on the new charges this month. He also will be charged with probation violation, Papanek said.
