“You may not have known that there is an additional 1,500 square feet at the north end of the building that we have been saving for an additional tenant,” Old Scratch co-founder Eric Soller wrote on the restaurant’s Facebook page, after one follower expressed alarm about seeing the “for lease” sign. “Yes, the space needs a front door, but it is build-to-suit, and could have windows with downtown views. It also has 2,500 square feet available in the basement for storage, packing, manufacturing, etc.
“This is a great opportunity to be a part of a great neighborhood. What is your dream? Coffee shop? Salon? Bike shop?”

Facebook friends tossed in a few more possibilities they’d like to see: a coffee-and-wine bar. A breakfast eatery. A taco-and-tequila joint. Soller said interested parties should call 937-220-6394 for more information.
Whatever entity moves in will be neighbor to a 6,000-square-foot, 125-seat pizzeria and beer hall that also features a variety of craft beers on tap.
