The money will go toward helping the needy this winter.
This is the third time in three years this has happened, said Ryan Ray, development director of the Salvation Army of Clark County.

The Red Kettle Campaign is the Salvation Army’s largest fundraiser each year. In Clark County, about 1,000 families sign up for Christmas assistance. The money helps with a toy drive and operating a homeless shelter.
“It surely is incredibly awesome and inspiring to a lot of people,” Ray said.
The coin and bill was dropped into the red kettle on Black Friday. The Red Kettle Campaign runs until Dec. 24.
