FYI

UAB coach Jerod Haase, 39, is in his first season after taking over for the fired Mike Davis. Haase was an all-conference player at Kansas and was an assistant under coach Roy Williams for 13 years at North Carolina and KU. Davis had a 122-72 record in six seasons and led the Blazers to the 2011 NCAA tournament as a First Four participant at UD Arena, but it was his only trip The Dance. He reached the 2002 NCAA title game as Indiana’s coach and is currently interim coach at Texas Southern.
