Oakwood’s comeback fell short in a 38-31 loss to Waynesville on Friday.
The Lumberjacks trailed the Spartans 21-3 in the second quarter but rallied for four second-half touchdowns — three in the fourth quarter.
Oakwood tied the game with an Austin Erbe 1-yard touchdown run in the fourth. Waynesville took the lead for good with a 10-yard TD run by Troy Black.
Waynesville had four turnovers.
Oakwood’s Sam Falter rushed 21 times for 75 yards and three touchdowns. Justin Stanley led Waynesville with 18 rushes for 149 yards and two TDs.
Fairmont 38, Springfield 13: Fairmont quarterback Tom West rushed for a touchdown, threw a TD pass, had a 60-yard interception return for a touchdown and kicked an 18-yard field goal.
West finished 15-of-24 passing for 125 yards. He rushed 13 times for 81 yards. Jaryd Murphy had a 40-yard touchdown run.
Fairmont out-rushed Springfield 183-84.
Eaton 7, Bellbrook 6: The game was scoreless going into overtime. Alex Fryman scored for Bellbrook on a quarterback keeper from 3 yards out in overtime, but the extra point was blocked.
Eaton scored on an Adam Slemker 1-yard touchdown run.
Fryman was 5-of-16 passing for 100 yards for Bellbrook. Doug Rasch had four receptions for 89 yards. Evan Clark rushed 13 times for 38 yards.
Billy Ritter was 9-of-17 passing for 79 yards. Slemker had seven carries for 72 yards.
Dunbar 37, Ponitz 6: Ollie Lewis rushed seven times for 164 yards and three touchdowns for Dunbar. He had a 90-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
Charles Johnson had nine carries for 123 yards and one touchdown.
Lebanon 56, West Carrollton 0: Luke Morgan was 9-of-16 passing for 171 yards and three touchdowns for Lebanon.
Aaron Moulin had 14 carries for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Austin Wolf had four receptions for 66 yards while Devin Monroe had three receptions for 66 yards.
Lebanon out-gained West Carrollton 364-67. The Warriors led 35-0 at the end of the first quarter.
Badin 17, CJ 14: Badin kicker Tyler Williams made a 39-yard field goal with 28 second left for the win.
Chaminade Julienne’s Will Peterson had an 86-yard fumble return for a touchdown.
Dayton Christian 49, Upper Scioto Valley 8: Heath Harding had eight carries for 142 yards and two touchdowns for Dayton Christian. He also had a touchdown receiving.
Conner Carr rushed three times for 92 yards and one touchdown. Speros Gabriel rushed three times for 57 yards and one touchdown.
Dixie 54, Northridge 6: Ryan Jordan had five touchdowns for Dixie, which scored 41 points in the first half.
Tippecanoe 34, Stebbins 20: The game was tied with five minutes left, until Tippecanoe had touchdown runs by Cameron Johnson and Jacob Hall.
Carlisle 20, Madison 12: Tre Owens had 31 carries, 280 yards and two touchdowns for Madison.
Tri-County North 21, Miami East 17: Tri-County North took the lead in the fourth quarter when Billy Derringer caught a 20-yard touchdown pass from Austin Hutchins.
Miami East was driving into Tri-County North territory with less than two minutes left, but was stopped on fourth-and-one.
Derringer finished with seven receptions for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Hutchins threw for 188 yards and rushed for 74.
