Eric Lynch (Bellbrook), Caleb Latham (Catholic Central), Micaela Powers (Beavercreek) and Meghan Blank (Fenwick) earned All-American honors on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America teams.

Lynch, a junior, is believed to be Bellbrook’s first All-American in any sport. He had 31 goals and 11 assists for the Golden Eagles (13-3-1), who won the Southwestern Buckeye League for a state-record 20th straight year.

Latham, a senior who will play at Xavier University, had a state-best 59 goals and 18 assists. He is also the state’s all-time leading scorer with 198 career goals.

Powers, a junior, had 16 goals and seven assists, helping the Creek girls to a 17-2-1 record. She is a member of the USA Soccer girls age 17-and-under national team pool.

Blank, a junior who lives in Springboro, was the Division III player of the year with 22 goals and nine assists.

There were 77 boys and 81 girls chosen from throughout the country as All-Americans. They will be honored at a banquet Jan. 14 during the NSCAA national convention at Kansas City, Kan.
