Kahlig, Gelhaus lead Fort Recovery over Northmont

Fort Recovery High School rode hot shooting to a 73-65 win over Northmont in boys basketball Saturday.

The Indians made 8-of-12 3-pointers and shot 13-of-16 from the free throw line.

Elijah Kahlig had 32 for Fort Recovery, which was ranked No. 2 in the DDN Division IV area poll. Wade Gelhaus had 17 points, 14 rebounds.

Keith Richardson led Northmont with 26. Dominique Stollings scored 12 while Brian Williams had 11.

Chaminade Julienne 56, Carroll 43: Justin Clark scored 24 and C.J. Riazzi 16 for CJ (6-13). Clark made five 3-pointers.

Jake Johnson led Carroll with 17 while David Ivey had nine. Johnson had three 3-pointers.

Trotwood 63, Lakota West 55: Dezhontae Bennett had 15 for Trotwood while JaMar Hammonds scored 17.

Ali Barnes led Lakota West with 25. He had four rebounds.

Centerville 61, Meadowdale 39: Centerville got rolling with a 19-4 second quarter.

Jake Replogle led the Elks with 28. Austin Recker had 17 while Joey Weingartner had 10.

Jamie Burns scored 17 for Meadowdale.

Valley View 94, Waynesville 76: Zack Denny scored 42 for Valley View. He was 14-of-24 from the floor and 7-of-11 from 3-point range. Cooper Nolte had 24 while Ethan Brown scored 14.

Troy Black led Waynesville with 21. Brian Behymer scored 17 while Ty Black had 16.

Brookville 56, Tri-County North 53: Brookville held off Tri-County North with free throws late.

Derek Day led Brookville with 14. Wes Zellers scored 12.

Austin Hutchins led Tri-County North with 25. Billy Derringer scored 15.

Twin Valley South 56, Preble Shawnee 51: Wes Cole scored 20 for Twin Valley South. Mike Green had 12.

Jake Elam led Preble Shawnee with 14. Christian Letner had 13 while Brian Ketring had 11.

Madison 63, Cedarville 32: Madison coach Jeff Smith won his 300th career game.

Tre Owens led the Mohawks with 18. Brad Mallott scored 16.

Girls Basketball

Troy 50, Piqua 35: Troy clinched its third-consecutive Greater Western Ohio Conference North Division title.

Kristen Wood had 22 points, 10 rebounds for Troy. Mackenzie Schulz had 15.

Kenton Ridge 61, Tippecanoe 55: Sydney Bates had 13 points, seven rebounds for Kenton Ridge, which out-scored Tipp 17-6 in the first quarter. Stefanie Davis scored 12 while Paige McCrary had 11.

Carly Clodfelter led Troy with 17. Erica Comer scored 11.

Dunbar 62, Jefferson 41: Cheree Snowden had 21 points, 10 rebounds and Angel Jones added 14 for the host Wolverines.

Wayne 56, Northmont 26: Faith Miller had 12. Samantha Palma and Kaelyn Brewer each added 10 for the host Warriors. Shaeyla Givens led the T-Bolts with 12.

Valley View 52, Waynesville 41: Hannah Collins led host Valley View with 12 . Ali Caplinger led Waynesville with 17.
