1. Wayne (1-2): Warriors can inject new life into their season and playoff hopes should they complete a four-game series sweep at Trotwood.

2. Centerville (1-2): Like Wayne, Elks posted their first win against an overmatched Canadian team last week. A trip to St. Ignatius will be daunting.

3. Troy (2-1): Trojans came to life in second half of last week’s defeat of Fairborn. Hope to extend winless Springboro’s early season woes.

4. Beavercreek (2-1): A 47-24 blitz by Trotwood last week grounded the Beavers. Creek can atone for that by winning at rival Xenia.

5. Fairmont (2-1): The Firebirds have posted two straight wins after dropping their opener to Alter. Fairmont bumps Northmont from the top 5.

Division II

1. Trotwood-Madison (3-0): Rams host Wayne in the DDN Game of the Week that features last year’s D-I and D-II state finalists.

2. Vandalia Butler (3-0): Aviators are rolling behind the area’s leading rusher, RB Tyler Jones (66-826, 10 TDs).

3. Tippecanoe (3-0): Red Devils have won the close games, beating Greenville and Milton-Union by a total of four points.

4. Franklin (3-0): Wildcats have it going both offensively and defensively, outscoring their opponents 103-36.

5. Belmont (3-0): Bison continue to be the surprise of the City League behind leading rusher Tyshawn Gordon.

Division III

1. Alter (3-0): Knights, ranked No. 2 in the state, dodged a major hurdle at Napoleon; played Purcell Marian on Thursday.

2. Thurgood Marshall (2-1): Cougars have gotten defensive after opening loss to Trotwood. CJ and Col. Eastmoor have combined for just six points.

3. Dunbar (2-1): Wolverines will make or break their shot at a City League title against Belmont on Saturday night at Welcome Stadium.

4. Eaton (2-1): The Eagles dropped a disappointing showdown with Waynesville last week. No letup tonight at unbeaten Brookville.

5. Kenton Ridge (3-0): Cougars one of three unbeaten CBC Kenton Division teams, joining Springfield Shawnee and Tippecanoe.

Division IV

1. Waynesville (3-0): QB Luke Creditt and a shutdown defense have carried the Spartans to impressive wins over Clinton-Massie and Eaton.

2. Fenwick (3-0): QB Austin Gearing leads the Falcons. A 28-0 blanking of Valley View was their lowest output.

3. Brookville (3-0): The Blue Devils can solidify their SWBL title contention by beating visiting Eaton tonight.

4. Milton-Union (2-1): Bulldogs turned to Jacob Finfrock in last week’s one-point loss to Tipp. He rumbled for 250 yards.

5. Valley View (1-2): Spartans were no match for unbeaten Fenwick last week. Should be different at Oakwood.

Division V

1. Versailles (3-0): High-scoring Tigers haven’t scored less than 31 points, but defense could use some shoring up for rare shot at MAC title.

2. Coldwater (2-1): A 17-0 shutout of Anna was impressive for the Cavs. After St. Henry this week big showdown with Versailles looms.

3. Anna (2-1): Telling three-game midseason stretch didn’t start well for Rockets. Up next is Delphos St. John’s then a trip to Marion Local.

4. Covington (3-0): Buccs had to rally in third quarter to edge Bethel 17-14. That’s enough for three MAC powers to overtake them in the rankings.

5. Dayton Christian (3-0): Warriors offense has been unstoppable, going for 53, 36 and 61 points for a tremendous 150-45 scoring advantage.

Division VI

1. Marion Local (2-1): Flyers easily took out New Bremen 55-8 to set up a great No. 1 vs. No. 2 showdown at Minster in another MAC gem.

2. Minster (2-1): Second straight crucial MAC game for the Wildcats, who are coming off 7-0 setback for Delphos SJ’s.

3. Southeastern (3-0): Trojans are at unbeaten West Liberty-Salem in what could decide the OHC title early.

4. Spg. Catholic Central (2-1): Irish have won two straight and host 2-1 Triad in another great OHC matchup.

5. Fort Loramie (2-1): Redskins have posted two straight shutouts since falling to Minster in season opener.
