Northmont advances to state gymnastics meet

Northmont’s gymnastics team qualified for this weekend’s state meet after finishing second at the district meet on Saturday. Northmont scored 138.550 points, runner-up only to Mason’s 141.575. Beavercreek finished third with 135.075.

Northmont’s Chelsey DeChellis finished second in the all-around competition, second in the beam and third on the vault. She will compete at state in all three events.

Also qualifying for state were Northmont’s Kelsie Anderson (bars, beam), Beavercreek’s Kristen Kramer (bars, floor) and Ashlyn Farwell (beam), Troy’s Jennifer Hanson (all-around, bars) and Greenville’s Paige Keller (vault).
