Staffing company to open new headquarters

BarryStaff will open its new headquarters on June 19 in downtown Dayton, according to the Dayton Area Chamber of Commerce.

In August 2014, this newspaper reported that BarryStaff planned to spend $1.5 million to move its Dayton headquarters to a new, 13,000-square-foot facility at 230 Webster St.

Founded in 1980, the company outgrew its previously location at 22 S. Jefferson St., officials said.

The new location will allow BarryStaff to hire additional recruiters, two to start, and consolidate its Dayton staff under one roof.

The new building includes a community room that can seat up to 80 people and will be open to all groups looking for a meeting space. It also includes 100 parking spaces, which the company plans to offer to fans attending Dayton Dragons baseball games.

Doug Barry, company president, said BarryStaff will contract with local non-profits to park cars on game days.

BarryStaff is a staffing agency that specializes in industrial, clerical and permanent placement. The firm has offices in Dayton, Cincinnati, Springfield, Piqua and Sidney.

The ribbon cutting will be held at 11 a.m. June 19, followed by an open house from noon to 4 p.m.
