Trump is planning to take on Ohio Gov. John Kasich in his home state in the March 15 Ohio primary.
A new poll released Wednesday from Quinnipiac University shows Trump would defeat Kasich, 31-26 percent in Ohio, a state where the top vote getter wins all 66 delegates at stake.
