Two crashes shut down Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd.

Major Highway Incidents

  • Dayton Yellow Springs Rd closed between S.R. 235 & W. Enon Rd in Greene County @ 2:20 p.m.: Two separate crashes reported in the area, at least two injuries reported.
  • I-75 south at S.R. 571 in Miami County @ 2:27 p.m.: The right lane remains closed at the accident investigation continues. @ 12:35 p.m.: deputies are working a crash involving a semi truck and four cars on I-75 southbound at the SR 571 exit ramp area. Several lanes on the highway were blocked, but two lanes have reopened. Minor injuries were reported; no one was transported to a hospital. The accident occurred when a woman driving a white pickup truck applied her brakes and her daughter, who was following her in an SUV, rear-ended the pickup. That set off a chain reaction as the white pickup truck struck three other vehicles, including a semi truck, police said. No one has been charged, but the crash remains under investigation.
  • Both lanes of northbound I-75 just south of the U.S. 36 exit in Miami County are now open after a semi fire shut down the highway this morning. The driver was able to escape without injury when the semi caught fire before 6 a.m. Crews are working to determine the cause of the fire.

Surface Street Incidents

  • On Harshman Road between Route 4 and Valley Street in Riverside, a crash was reported around 7:45 a.m.
  • In the 4800 block of North Urbana Libson/State Route 41 in Clark County, a roll-over crash was reported at 6:09 a.m. and no injuries have been reported.

Ongoing Construction & Other Closures

MONTGOMERY COUNTY

  • I-75 north Ramp to Second Street, Lane closure on the ramp November 18th – 22nd between 9 am and 3 pm. One lane will remain open on the ramp at all times.
  • I-70 between Taywood Road and I-75,Nightly lane closures October 15th – December 16th between 8 pm and 6 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • The Webster Street bridge is closed as it is rebuilt. A detour will take motorists to Keowee Street to Monument Avenue. The project is scheduled to be completed in November of 2017
  • I-70 between Airport Access Road and SR 48, lane addition project. Two lanes open in each direction. Motorists will encounter barrels and construction in this area.
  • The First Street, Second Street and Third Street ramps along I-75 northbound and southbound, are permanently closed. A newly constructed ramp is scheduled to open to motorists in the downtown area in December of 2016. The official detour during these ramp closures is: I-75 North to U.S. 35 East to Jefferson Street to First and Third streets. Motorists can also use Main Street or Edwin C. Moses Boulevard.
  • Vista View Drive between Second Street and Third Street, road closed through September of 2017. Detour posted.

MIAMI COUNTY

  • I-75 near CR 25A (Troy),Nightly lane closures October 14th – November 30th between 7 pm and 7 am. One lane will remain open in each direction.
  • Statler Road between Cromes Drive and Free Road,road closure September 13th – June 15th, 2017. The official detour is: Cromes Drive/Looney Road to US 36 to Troy-Sidney Road to Statler Road.
  • I-75 between CR 25A (Piqua) and US 36,Lane width restrictions September 12th – June 15th of 2017. Lanes are restricted to 12 feet. Two lanes will remain open in each direction.
