UAS industry focus of IT forum

The emerging unmanned aerial systems industry will be the focus of the ninth annual “Taste of IT” forum Nov. 18 at the Sinclair Community College Ponitz Center.

Presented by Technology First, the regional information technology trade organization, the day-long conference addresses IT industry trends.

A keynote panel on applications, challenges and opportunities related to the emerging UAS industry will include Andrew D. Shepherd, Sinclair UAS director; Frank Beafore, SelectTech GeoSpatial executive director; and Kelly Cohen, a University of Cincinnati professor of aerospace engineering.

Additional keynote speakers include Jeff Almoney, General Motors global director of IT and services; and Rob Lang, Cisco Systems manager of collaboration architecture for the U.S. central region.
