Threat of strong storms to end the weekend

Skies overnight will be mostly clear with some increase in clouds. It will stay cool with temperatures dropping into the lower 40s, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

DETAILED FORECAST

Saturday: Expect a mix of sun and clouds with the chance for a few passing showers, mainly during the afternoon. It will be mild with highs in the middle 60s.

Sunday: It will be windy and warm with a mix of sun and clouds. A few showers are possible early in the day but thunderstorms will move in late evening. Some of the storms could be strong or severe into the night. Highs will be in the lower 70s.

Monday: Expect rain and a few thunderstorms in the morning with clouds lingering through the day. It will be breezy with highs falling through the 50s.

Tuesday: Skies will remain mostly cloudy. There is a chance for a few showers early, mainly south. Highs will be near 50 degrees.

Wednesday: Sunshine returns but chilly conditions remain. Highs will only reach into the upper 40s.
