White Castle workers get tuition discount at an area college

Employees of the fast food chain White Castle can now get a discount on their degree from an area college.

Indiana Wesleyan University is offering White Castle employees a 10 percent tuition discount. The discount will be offered to all full-time and part-time employees of the national restaurant chain.

IWU has a location on Springboro West Road in Dayton, on Schulze Drive in West Chester and on Mill Run Drive in Hilliard, Ohio near Columbus.

The discount will apply to most degree programs at Indiana Wesleyan University, according to the school.

White Castle, which is based in Columbus, has more than 400 restarants in 12 states, according to the company. White Castle has stores in West Chester, Trotwood and Middletown.

“Our founder, Bill Ingram, believed strongly in education and providing opportunity for those who hunger for knowledge, independence and self-sufficiency,” said John Kelley, chief people officer at White Castle. “We are pleased to be able to offer this additional benefit to our team members who are reaching for higher education.”
