Woman cited in Fairfield accident

UPDATE @ 4:36 p.m.: Patricia Gober, 44, of Fairfield, was cited in the accident this morning where she reportedly drove her pickup truck through a red light on South Gilmore Road as she was turning onto Kolb Drive toward Meijer.

The pickup truck struck a car crossing South Gilmore Road on Kolb Drive.

The driver of the car was heading toward the Forest Fair Village, formerly known as Cincinnati Mall, when the accident occurred.

The driver of the vehicle sustained a head injury and was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center in Clifton by medical helicopter. Her name has not yet been released by police and an update on her condition is not yet known.

INITIAL REPORT:

A woman was transported to University of Cincinnati Medical Center after her car was struck by a pickup truck this morning.

Fairfield police are not releasing the name of the injured driver at this time, and are only saying she sustained “serious injuries.”

Fairfield Police Lt. Steve Maynard said the pickup truck was traveling south on South Gilmore when it hit the car turning onto Kolb Drive.

The accident happened at 7:54 a.m. today.

The accident remains under investigation.
