A few things I think
Five things I’m thinking with the Browns one win away from the playoffs:
Can’t imagine them going to Cincinnati on Sunday and having an easy time of it with the Bengals, although good things have happened in the past when they’ve needed a win there. Remember 1980 when Ricky Feacher caught two touchdown passes from Brian Sipe and they clinched the Central? Hold onto that.
The playoffs could be a grand stage for offensive coordinator Rob Chudzinski, especially if teams looking for head coaches are paying attention. John Taylor of the Orange and Brown Report broke the story last week of the Atlanta Falcons’ interest in Chud, but I doubt that it will become a distraction for the team. Funny how defensive coordinator Todd Grantham seemed to be a hot candidate last season, then ended up signing an extension with the Browns. Same could happen with Chud. It might just depend on how far the team goes in the playoffs, if they actually do get there.
Pro Bowl rosters are revealed this week and the only Browns certain of making it seem to be guard Eric Steinbach and return specialist Joshua Cribbs. On Thursday night’s NFL Network broadcast of the the Denver-Houston game, analysts Marshall Faulk and Deion Sanders seemed to think the Browns will reap more individual benefits next season after popping into the picture so suddenly and unexpectedly this season.
The Browns have not had a drafted player make the Pro Bowl since their return to the NFL in ‘99. Whether it’s this year or next, Joe Thomas, Braylon Edwards and/or Kellen Winslow will be the first. Of that there appears little doubt. All are worthy this season. So is QB Derek Anderson, but his best chance is probably to go as an alternate when either Tom Brady or Peyton Manning backs out.
Nothing like a good blizzard to gauge just how attached fans are to a team. That upwards of 50,000 people ventured out on a day like Sunday speaks volumes. And they saw an interesting, weird game that turned out how they had hoped. Winning didn’t make the ride home any less treacherous, but I’m sure it beat the alternative.

The Browns should roll over Cint. The rivalry suffered a hit when Paul Brown passed, and a knockout blow when Art Modell pulled up and left Cleveland-the fervor for the rivalry seemed to die a few years back-the present Bengals don’t seem to hate the Browns like their predecessors.By Bob Wehada

This game has scared me for the last couple of weeks, I’m just keeping the faith that the coaches will get out of the way and let the players win the game. Chud is going nowhere is Crennels replacement in waiting he’ll get an extension and a nice juicy raise, in a few years he’ll be the next head coach of the Cleveland Browns, why the hell would anyone want the falcons job?By GeorgiaDawg

Cincy is always tough and being a rivalry game records mean little when we play each other. that being said there are rampant rumors that Lewis has lost control of the team and Chad and TJ are constantly yelling and trying to take over the locker room against Carson. Add to that their Defense which is as bad as ours was at the beginning of the season and we should be able to roll over these guys. Like I said though, this is a rivalry game and they’re usually tough not matter the circumstances. Go Brownies!By Dawg Pound

The browns need to play 4 quarters not 2. If they play like they did the first half against the steelers they will win but if they play conservitve they are out. If they do play conservitive they need to have some coaching changes!!By Doug

Sean, I made the trip from Dayton also. As I do every home game. Remember a few years ago when they played the Ravens the last game of the season and lost 35-0. Temperature was sub zero and there were about 45,000 people in the stands. That’s the true difference between Browns fans and Bengals fans. I predict there will be near as many Browns as Bengal fans at PB on Sunday. They better double up security.By gizzermosmom

Win or lose, Browns fans are surely the most loyal fans ever. But I have to say, there is a whole lot to be said for winning! Let’s quit using the prevent defense in the 4th quarter - my nerves can’t take these near losses. LOL.
