Chad here in body, but not spirit

SANTA MONICA JUNIOR COLLEGE COACH

PROMISES TO GET CHAD’S MIND RIGHT

Chad Johnson was here … in body only.

His spirit was somewhere else.

The Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver arrived at mandatory, full-squad minicamp on Thursday, June 12, and accomplished … nothing.

After going through warm-ups and individual drills, Johnson did not participate in team drills.

In other words, he didn’t take one live snap.

“He expressed to the medical staff he had some sort of ailment,” said head coach Marvin Lewis, who claimed he wasn’t disappointed at all.

In fact, Lewis was happy because the players who have been working out in the offseason program continued to get more experience.

Johnson’s body language was terrible.

He moped, sulked, spent most of the morning practice with a towel draped around his head and …

… speaking with Charlie Collins.

Collins is wide receivers coach at Santa Monica Junior College who is here on an NFL coaching internship.

“I was Chad’s coach in junior college,” Collins said.

Where is Chad’s head right now?

“By the time I’m done this week, it’ll be in the right place,” Collins said. “It’s a slow burn, but he’s getting there. He’s going to come around. He’s going to help the team. He’s got the talent. He’s just got to get his mind in the right place.”

Yeah, the “ailment” is bruised ego. And maybe a little lockjaw from running his mouth too much. What a baby! We should all mail him some Kleenex.

Chad Johnson is a petulant little b1tch. Let him sulk and mope his way to a year-long suspension without pay.

ok Winslow, you go ahead and report cuz the Browns have a chance this year, and Plax, you complain at practice, and Ocho, you go ahead and run with that “ailment” idea, i like it, we’ll see how that turns out….

I think we all know where Chad’s head is! Ankle injury my Butt!

Picked up the morning paper..the Cincinnati Enquirer looked at the..Headlines which read… “Circus of the Star” complete with large photos, a complete hour by hour, minute by minute chronicle of Chad Johnson’s day at mini-camp. After reading I learned something that everybody on the planet must already know that he is unhappy with his employer, spent most of the day watching, he has an ankle injury disputed by his employer. doesn’t want to speak to the media..his day goes on and on..ends at 5:15pm. This entire photo shoot and article is the epitome of media sensationalism covering a malcontent. I was surprised we didn’t have a revelation of what time he got out of bed, what he ate for breakfast, the music he listened to before reporting to work, how many phone calls he made, etc. Simple lesson here media people…turn the page, get on with life, cease this bitter love affair with a narcissitic man who thinks of nothing but himself and his bank account. If there ever was a case of overkill it was manifested today in the Enquirer when Chad shows up! Boy oh boy..I don’t think I could have made it through the day without this tremendous investigative reporting. Must have been a slow news day!

name one place you could work ( for 3 million no-less) have a bad ‘tude, put forth no effort, rip the “boss” and company, have someone who does not work there present…its just BS! I would release him TODAY…send a message..don’t want to play here? get the F out!

Why deal with this any longer? Just get what you can for him and move on. He’s worn out his welcome here and will distract this team enough to produce another year of frustration if they allow this to continue. Lewis needs to toughen up and let him go. Enough babying the players. Either you play and produce or don’t let the door hit you in the behind. Real world situation. Real world consequences.

I wish the news media would quit giving him this attention…this is what he wants. Let him sit out all season and whine and cry and be fined…..Really no one cares anymore.

CHAD will not sit out the season ,because he wants to get paid . He will put forth very little effort just enough to keep him from getting suspended. The BENGALS blew it when they turned down Washingtons offer for him .Now the team will have to learm from its mistake.
