He’s back! Busing — rhymes with ‘bee sting’

EX-MIAMI OF OHIO STAR

BACK WITH THE BENGALS

A former Cincinnati Bengal just became a current Cincinnati Bengal.

John Busing, a versatile safety with a rock-star hairdo, re-signed with the Bengals on Tuesday, Oct. 28.

The third-year NFL veteran from Miami of Ohio fills the roster spot previously occupied by safety Corey Lynch, who was placed on Injured Reserve on Monday with a right knee injury.

The 6-foot-2, 221-pound Busing — originally signed as a non-drafted college free agent; he played linebacker for the RedHawks — played in 19 games for Cincinnati from 2006-07, logging 18 special teams tackles and three tackles on defense.

He was with the Bengals in the 2008 preseason, posting two tackles on defense and two on special teams over three games. He was waived in final roster cuts on Aug. 30.

Busing will add some punch to the Bengals’ special teams coverage units. He brings savvy, smarts and some excellent physicality to a defense that needs more enforcers.

Welcome to the March to 0-16 John. Here’s a little career advice to keep you on the roster longterm: Get arrested as soon as possible and slip Mike Brown a playful wink when you come in to work after getting out of the clink. Just ask Chris Henry. It really works!

So when is the Chickster going to admit that he predicted this team to win ten games and make the playoffs? Does he think that no one read the article claiming so?

I think the turning point to winning again will be the signing of John Busing. Take my word.

Given NFL PARITY alone, looking at the Bengals schedule before the start of the season I saw 10 winnable games too. The fact the Bengals are rolling toward 0-16 against the teams they’re facing speaks volumes about the incompetence and pig headed indifference of Mike Brown.

Wake Up Mike Brown, you are in the entertainment business and you are failing to entertain! You have suceeded in being the cheapest owner in the NFL and wasting the careers of some of the best talent in the NFL. Time to hand the team over to competent front office management!
