Hayes, Mavunga named All-MAC

CLEVELAND — Miami University’s Kenny Hayes and Julian Mavunga earned all-conference honors this season, the Mid-American Conference announced Wednesday, March 10.

Hayes, a senior guard, was selected to the first team, while Mavunga, a sophomore forward/center, was an honorable mention pick.

Hayes leads the RedHawks in scoring at 14.6 points per game to rank ninth in the MAC. Hayes averages 15.1 in conference games. He leads the MAC in minutes played per game (35.6).

Mavunga leads Miami in rebounding at 6.4 per game, and averages 10.1 points per game.

Hayes’ selection marks the seventh straight season Miami has had a first-team honoree, the longest streak of any teams in the conference.
