I am SHOCKED, SHOCKED I say, that the DDn would endorse all DEMS for the City commission and mayor…SHOCKED!

I kind of feel sorry for Washington Township’s Lee Snyder. Snyder appears to be the only incumbent that DDN did not endorse. I guess that the region must be pretty satisfied with the status quo.

So typical of the DDN, to pick the incumbents for each of the Kettering Schools and City. There has been no change to School board in over 8 years and council has only changed twice in 16 years! Vote for someone different Kettering, I certainly am!

the region is in tatters, the incumbents have screwed it all up and the local rag decides to support all the incumbents except one? Are you kidding me? Course who cares, you’re not in Montgomery County. Your elitist rag is good for nothing.

Wake Up People! VOTE NO for the Dayton Montgomery County Library #40 - It is Not your problem that the so called upper leadership of the Montgomery County have mismanaged the money that You gave them the first time when they begged and gave you their bleeding heart story! YOU Gave them the chance to Tax you after they “Lost”/”Misused” all your money that You gave them before and now they want more?? After they said they would not need to ask again if you gave them tax $ the first time! Are you people in this county forgetful? Are you sheep?? If you want to go to a real public library that works for the development of their patrons go to Wright Memorial or Centerville who are National Award Winning Public Library Systems!!!!

I’m voting Yes on Issue 2—keep silly liberal causes from tying up our farms. I grew up on a farm.——Vote NO on #1 and #3. —————I’m voting No on library—big increase and they slipped in PERMANENT. No voice once they get it passed.+++++++++++++++++++I’m voting NO on Park system They got a 50% increase the last time. Now they want an increase and a replacement so that the cost per property resets to a higher value and then they add their increase. As they build park structures for the city of DAyton like Riverscape and the bridge to nowhere over the river…, I’ll take money for the parks in the rural area. Human Services increase. Sinclair increase. ETc., Etc., Etc. DDN never sees one they don’t like. Why don’t they just donate directly to the cause. It’s like the people on TV who have fortunes as movie stars telling us to donate for starving children: they are free to dnate their own fortunes instead of telling us to donate our hard earned dollars.

To NULL—You have made some very serious charges—where is your proof of mismanaged funds? I bet you have none. If you are so concerned, contact the state auditor. BTW, the state auditor’s web page gives the Dayton Metro Library a glowing financial report—indicates the library is an exceptional steward of public funds. Before you level charges like that, get your facts straight. Fact—State funding has dropped 31% since the last levy. Fact—usage has increased 25% since last levy. Fact—This levy will cost an additional $1.55 per month on a home valued for tax purposes at $100,000

booklover553 should check facts rather than blanket numbers. Were the increases in Usage in checkouts of movies and music? Or was it in serious use of books? Notice they don’t say increased book checkout rate. This is like saying Obama/Reid/Pelosi have strengthened our country because they are spending more money—they’re getting more dollars checked out just like the library is, using your blanket statistic.================State funding has dropped. Contact legislators. Library needs to cut hours. Open main and branches 4 or 5 days a week instead of 7.

As a veteran, I urge people to vote no on issue 1. The national government has additional compensation that it pays to those in combat zones; it is their employer. The State of Ohio has no obligation to them as it is NOT their employer. The State of Ohio should not single out groups and give money to them. We cannot afford it.
By disbar mat heck and all judges

To Tom The DDN has allowed posts on crime stories ever since the DDN went internet. When I continually exposed mat heck for the very dangerous person that he is the DDN stopped all posts. For months the Lying lou grieco the court reporter and the DDN deleted nearly all of my posts using court records to prove that mat heck and these judges have dismissed gun charges, drug charges, robbery charges and felonious assault charges against all of the criminals that were finally arrested and found guilty of murder in this town. Lying lou grieco the court reporter initially actually had me banned from posting. I constantly copied and pasted the fact that guns specifications which carry an automatic three year sentence were consitantly being dismissed by heck and these judges.Lucas Sullivan did not have me banned but Lying lou grieco did. The DDN could not afford to hire a person to scan all posts to delete the truth about mat heck. It was cheaper for them to just eliminate my pesky truth telling. You see the DDN depends on the courts to dismiss any lawsuit against them for the shoddy and false reporting they are so famous for. The DDN must protect the courts in order to be protected by the courts. If I would call the DDN and promise to not use court records to show that mat heck is the only reason that Dayton is listed in the top 20 most dangerous towns to live in the DDN would allow posts again. I do have a mission. My mission is simply to make crime against the law in this town. If mat heck would make the cost of doing business for these criminals out way the profits the criminals would go out of business. Heck and these judges refuse to do this. This is the only reason that Dayton is a very dangerous place to live. The DDN has stopped in most cases even printing the names of people arrested for felony crimes because I was going to the court web site to find that mat heck had dismissed most if not all previous charges that involved prison time. In the rare cases that names are printed go to the court web sight and prove to your self that mat heck and these judges had them before and released them to continue the cycle of violence. The DDN will not report this and will not allow me to report it.

I can’t believe that anyone would even consider a Dem for office, since whats going on with Obama and that bunch in Washington. The Rep are just as guilty. The only one I saw worth keeping is Joe Lacey on the school board. Send McLin and the rest packing, in fact run’em out of town on a rail. Oakwood wants a Wright Memorial library, those fat cats can pay for it with their pocket change.

Umm… I’m confused. Does anyone else see an ethical issue with DDN posting it’s “picks” for the election. What B.S. DDN, you need to halt this abuse of your influence over Daytonians. Report the news, not your thoughts and beliefs.

Hmmm…the DDN, much like our city is in horrible shape. It starts with leadership and neither of them have it! The sad shape our once great city is in is a direct result of the the 8 years of incompetence we have experienced. The DDN doesn’t realize this! SAD!

Regarding the mayoral race coverage in the DDN. Funny to see how liberals suddenly think that experience is more important than community organizing. Funny, too, that suddenly it’s important for a candidate to send his kids to the public schools, something the DDN’s presidential choice avoided in both Chicago and DC.

Wouldn’t vote for Rhine McClin for Mayor if she was running unapposed. She and the current commission are killing this city, Businesses are running faster than you can report on it. Way to go out on a limb and back all incumbents. This city needs new government and a new paper.

The Dayton Daily News clearly does not want to see Dayton to improve at all, endorsing Rhine McLin AND no on Issue 3. This Tuesday if you want to make a change vote for Gary Leitzel and YES on Issue 3. Hasnt Dayton had enough budget cuts and economic deprevity?

Hey I finally figured out how you (DDN) come up with your wacky recommendations! I noticed the picture link to the “Montgomery Most Wanted” as I was scanning the recommendations and decided to follow the link for a breath of fresh air - well low and behold this is what I found! Deangelo Daniel and an accomplice allegedly robbed a shoe salesman at gunpoint in the 400 block of West Parkwood. The victim had received a call on West Parkwood. When he arrived, the suspects pulled a gun on him and after a brief struggle took of in his van which contained shoes, clothing, and his wallet, according to police. Deangelo Daniel is now wanted by Dayton Police for Aggravated Robbery and by the DDN for his political insights and thoughts on the upcoming election issues and candidates. I would add that you might want to discuss your recommendations with Mr. Maxwell, the guy that pistol whipped his victim too - I bet he’d support your recommendations and maybe even pistol whip some of these scoundrels that don’t seem to share your vision of more incompetence and chaos for Dayton!

The DDN has made some good recomendations and it shows true wisdom in selecting current and future Mayor Rhine McLin as the respected leader of our community because she has the experence and the knowledge to put Dayton back at the top of the playing feild when it comes to bringing exciting companies to our area and the surrounding comunities like Belmont, Riverside, Trotwood, and the other suburbs that can use the help of such a smart woman as a partner in revitalizing our communities which we love and live in. Do the right thing on Tuesday. Vote the party ticket unless you have family or friends and know their stance will be honest and just because the past eight years nationally have not worked out well for our great city of Dayton. Go Dayton! Many people have asked for my advice and that is the only reason I’m posting this message.

I can’t believe what i’m reading! Party ticket? Yes on 3? Why was it a bad idea to ammend the constitution to give one group a monopoly but ok for this group. McLin??? oh please! She has done nothing in the 5 years ive been here! I’ve spoken with Mr. Leitzel and he has his head on straight. I do agree with the question of why experience is so important now but wasn’t in the presidential election. Politics has become a popularity contest and we the people have bought the lemon, made kool aid and drank it! It’s time we learned to think for ourselves and take back our government, on every level. Stop being part of the problem or a disgruntled comentator and remember that they govern at OUR sufferrance. We are responsible for what they do and only we can change it. Don’t let DDN, or even me tell you who to vote for or what to vote for. Do your research, and make an educated and reasoned decision. Do we remember how to do that??

Let me get this straight. For Beavercreek City Council, the DDN endorses (incumbent)S. Hadley, who has had an ethic violation filed against him, but won’t endorse Tony Corvo, a USAF veteran and an active community member? So glad to see that the DDN continues to actually investigate its picks. Corvo for Council!
