2nd Street Market sets Stock-Up Wednesday

The National City 2nd Street Market, 600 E. Second St. in Dayton is usually not open on Wednesdays, but they are opening this Wednesday, Nov. 25, for your holiday shopping pleasure.

The Miami Valley producers are holding Stock-Up Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be homemade breads, fresh turkey, ham, pies, flowers and more available.

Then, on Friday, the market will have its Holiday Shopping Kickoff, with live music and drawings every hour for a chance to win door prizes.

Also, starting Friday and lasting through Dec. 23, if you bring nonperishable food items to the market it will be put toward the market’s goal of collecting 1,000 meals for Miami Valley families in need.

Collection bins are located by the market’s entrances. All food will be donated to the Foodbank.

For more information on the market, visit www.metroparks.org/holidays or call (937) 228-2088.
