Kroger discounting gift cards at stores
Starting Friday, Nov. 27, area Kroger stores will offer a deal on select gift cards purchased from the “Gift Card Mall” within their stores.
If customers purchase $100 worth of participating gift cards, they will receive $10 off their purchase when they use their Kroger Plus Card at checkout.
The retailers whose gift cards are part of this deal include Applebee’s, Bass Pro Shops, Bath & Body Works, Best Buy, iTunes, Pottery Barn, Sears and Spa Finder.
Customers can mix and match gift cards in various denominations to reach the required $100.
The promotion runs until Dec. 13.

Was planning on buying a Washer and Dryer at Lowes (best Price) but now I can go to Sears and use gift Cards purchased at Krogers and save an additional $50.(Sears was $50 more than Lowes, but I will save $100 on gift Cards, nets out to $50.)

I dont care if sears was 99% off, I wont shop there. They are not fair to their employee’s in appliance department. If the employee makes no appliance sales, sears holds out a floor rental fee from their checks-Not Fair Sears! If you work the hours, you deserve the pay..

I must be to tired to figure out Jon’s math/ He’s going to buy $100 Sears gift card for $90 ($10 saved on gift card purchase), use it towards w/d which was $50 higher. Arent you still paying $40 more at Sears? You had to buy your gift cards, saved $10 at Krogers, you’re ony saving the $10 you saved at Kroger towards your purchase….right, wrong?

Terri, I agree with you. I don’t understand Jon’s math either. But I confess I’ve never been very good at math.

he is buying the set with only gift cards. Thus $1000 set would only cost him $900.00. Set at Sears was 50 more thus 50 savings.
