I have eaten Don’s cooking while he was still in Louisiana and it was great. I am looking forward to driving the 1200 or so miles just to get another taste of his cooking.

been there 3x. Superb gumbo…good fried oysters, frog legs and gator (served on mountains of fries); mediocre jambalaya, and absolutely tasteless mac and cheese ( how is that done?) ‘Secret’ location on dark street , poorly lit signage, in unlikely place - a medical office bldg at the hospital. Restaurant reportedly undewritten by a doc who has an office there & owns the bldg.

My wife and I ate at LeDoux’s this past weekend and it was very nice; I would highly recommend it to anyone. We drove up from Jamestown OH and it was definately worth the drive.

Have had lunch there 3 times. Very good but it seemed the portions were smaller each time. Nice decor but it is in an “out of the way” location. I hope he does well.

I have been to many festivals and ate Cajun Specialties and LOVE their food! I have been to Ledoux’s a few times now, the atmosphere was very nice & the food is phenomenal! As far as for “sue” & you negative people can you say bah humbug!

I stopped in to see my old friend Don and to check out his new place. This is a new, very upscale building with a great down home atmosphere. I assure you LeDoux’s will be the place everyone will be trying to get into for the holidays. Good Luck Don.

Business is usually brisk when a new place opens. I’m not big on Cajun, but my husband loves fried oysters, which I saw on their menu. Especially since it’s so close, we will probably try it.

Don is a real Cajun doing real Cajun food. I was raised on it myself. Just because the downtown venue failed doesn’t mean he can’t be successful. And Realist, Cajun food isn’t what you think. It’s everything from teacakes to Creole Cream Cheese like my grandma made to pistolettes. But for a restaurant in this area, I suspect the menu will be simpler.

Geez people, give the guy a break! If you don’t like Jambalaya, Crawfish Pie or Filet Gumbo, don’t go. Cajun food is MUCH MORE than lizards and bugs you freak. Having lived in New Orleans for 7 years, I can appreciate these epicurian delights. I wish him well. Now if it just wasn’t so far from Beavercreek…

I used to go to the original Ledoux’s on 2nd Street when I worked in the old First National Building. Good food and I used to get all liquired up in there. It was a hopping place on occasion.

I bartended at LeDoux’s first rest on 2nd street…. until I came to work one day and the doors were chained shut with a “closed for business” sign…. and no final pay check! good luck!

Shame on him for not trying it in the great Downtown Dayton area, where he would do great. Oh, yeah, Realist is right, he already did and the place didn’t last. I don’t get it, Downtown is thriving, how could a restaurant fail there?
